Power of 3 Labradors (a.k.a. P3) is a young kennel owned by Paul and Rebekah Loveless. We are located in Wayne County, halfway between Rochester and Syracuse, New York. We have owned Labradors for several years now, and a few years ago began researching breeding and showing Labradors of the English type. After a lot of research, discussion, and reading, we met Susan Patrick of Kresland Kennels, who was kind enough to help us get started in our endeavor to develop this wonderful breed.
We are currently involved in showing at conformation events. We will continue to show as much as possible and hopefully will make up many champions in the years to come. We also will be training our dogs whenever possible for hunting and hunt tests. We believe that it is important for a Labrador not only to have excellent temperament and conformation, but also to continue to have the ability to do the job they were bred for – to be hunting companions.
We raise our puppies in our home, as we believe that this is where they get the most love and attention. All of our dogs are cleared before breeding for eyes (CERF), hips and elbows (OFA), heart by echo/Doppler, and genetically tested for EIC and prcd-PRA. All puppies are examined by our vet and have their Micro Chip, 1st vaccinations, and are wormed at 2,4,6,and 8 weeks of age prior to going home with their new families. All puppies are sent home on AKC Limited Registration. We offer puppies in all three colors: yellow, black, and chocolate. We are dedicated to improving our lines through carefully selected breedings to continue the betterment of this wonderful breed. Labradors can truly “do it all”.
Our kennel name is derived mainly from the television series, “Charmed”, of which I am a big fan. It stands for “three colors, one breed”, the “power of three”. Our kennel symbol is called a triquetra, which is an ancient Celtic symbol. Although the triquetra has been used to symbolize many mystical meanings in its history, one of its best known uses is as a Christian symbol representing the Holy Trinity. I use it to represent “three as one” in reference to our breed.
